Certain games has graphics option to change screen resolution but sometimes even when you try to change the resolution, the screens blinks off for a while and again rests itself to the same resolution. It is very annoying sometimes esp when you need to get rid of 800x600 res.
So follow these simple steps to troubleshoot this problem.

| Step 1: Goto The exe file. |

| Step 2: Right Click for Properties. |
 |
| Step 3: Click Compatibility tab. |
 |
| Step 4: Change Compatibilty Mode as per your OS. |
 |
| Step 5: Check the box shown in this pic. |
 |
| Step 6: Click Apply and then OK. |
